The first
time I heard the word, “kinesiology”, was when my college roommate told me that
it was her major. She was a dancer and very athletic. Now she is a high school
P.E. and English teacher. I won’t tell you how long she has been teaching and
coaching, but I remember envying her as she wore tights and ballet slippers to
class!
These days there
is a special camaraderie among kinesiology and nursing students at the Cal
State San Marcos at Temecula campus whether they are in nursing uniforms,
jeans, gym shorts or sweat shirts. They are part of a cohort or group of
students who attend every class together throughout their two years with us.
They form study groups and build tight support networks. They are among the
lucky ones. We have a 95% graduation
rate. Students graduate on time and on budget!
Bachelor of
Science in kinesiology students at CSUSM at Temecula know their graduation date
from the moment they enter the program; they have guaranteed seats in their
classes and locked tuition from the date of entry to date of graduation.
They look
forward to careers as athletic trainers, cardiac rehabilitation specialists,
school or college coaches, directors of youth campus/sport programs, exercise
physiologists, fitness instructors, medical doctors, occupational therapists,
personal trainers, physical education teachers, physical therapists,
physician’s assistants, recreational therapists, registered nurses, respiration
therapists, sport management and strength and conditioning coaches and other related
health care careers.
CSUSM at
Temecula accepts applications throughout the year. If you are interested in
learning more about the kinesiology program visit our website at www.csusm.edu/kine. Request more information and you

Hope to see
you at CSUSM at Temecula!
